The Biblical image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd is one woven throughout the Bible. The Good Shepherd cares for his sheep and Jesus shows compassion on his people. He sees and knows our need and invites us to come to him and know his strength and care.

Summer mission allows the church to partner in mission, at home and overseas. The model of partnership is given to us by Paul in Philippians 1. We are to be people who partner and gives thanks for those gospel partnerships.

The blood of the lamb saved God’s people from their enslaved lives in Egypt. As the Angel of Death passed through Egypt it passed over those houses with the blood of the lamb on the door posts. Salvation in Jesus comes through his shed blood and God’s wrath passes over us and fall on Jesus, so that we go free.
