The story of Acts 10 has been about Peter being made ready for future ministry to the gentiles. It has, so far, been a story of two parts: the first part was Peter being made ready through personal experience in Lydda and Joppa with healing Aeneas and raising Dorcas to life; the second was preparation through personal revelation, challenging him about God’s plan for bringing the gospel to the gentiles. In Acts 10 v 23b-48 we come to the third part of this story, where we see Peter understand and embrace the meaning of the vision he received from the Lord. He goes, without question, to the home of Cornelius and through the work of the Holy Spirit see, household salvation.
Acts 10 v 23b-48 continues the great movement of the gospel into all the world.
