The busyness of Christmas is never overstated. There is always so much to be done and to attend. As we go about in the month of December we enjoy seeing family and friends and catching up on their news. But the greatest news of all is that God chose to draw near to us. In Matthew's gospel we are told about the encounter Joseph had with the angel of the Lord. The angel assured him to take Mary as his wife because this was all God's plan. The angel said that the baby to be born from Mary will save his people from their sins. Matthew goes on to tell us that it was the prophet Isaiah who said that this baby would be called Immanuel, which means, God with us.

This is the good news of Christmas: God came to us. We don't deserve his love because of our sin, but he chooses to love us so we can know his salvation.

We may not all be able to gather to celebrate this year the coming of the Saviour of the world due to ongoing restrictions, but please check out the services and resources below to see how you can join in the celebration of Jesus.
